Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. You will sign a contract with the person you are caring for directly, as you are self-employed.
You will also need to agree to our terms, setting out the ways we will work together. This means things like us finding work for you, and the standards we require you to maintain.

How do I apply to become a Carer?
To apply to become a carer with London Live-in Care send your CV and a professional picture to: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will ask you to provide further information about your qualifications and experience, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and two professional references. If you meet our skill and experience requirements we will invite you for an interview on Skype. We will also need to see proof of address and be sure that you are entitled to work in the UK.
How much will I be paid?
Pay depends on several factors including your experience and qualifications, and the type of work the client engages you to do. A live-in carer with London Live-in Care will be paid from £600 a week. For carers with a lot of experience, and looking after clients with more challenging needs, you may earn more.
What qualifications and experience must I have to become a Live-in Carer?
You need qualifications and experience that demonstrate your suitability and aptitude for looking after people as a live-in carer. These include NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care, or a Care Certificate from an accredited provider. If you have been working as a carer for some years but do not have an NVQ, we will look at your experience, two most recent professional references, and continuing education training. We look for at least one year of professional experience as a carer.
You also need an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check, a valid passport or other ID, and two proof of address documents such as utility bills in your name.
For applicants coming from outside the EU, we will need to see proof that you are entitled to work in the UK.
What is your application process?
The goal of our application process is to allow good candidates to get to work quickly. Once you have sent your CV and photograph to email@example.com, we will ask you to provide further information about your qualifications and experience, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, your right to work in the UK if you come from outside the EU, and two professional references.
If you meet our skill and experience requirements we will invite you for an interview on Skype.
As part of the application process, if you do not already have a current Enhanced DBS check, you will need to pay for one being obtained.
If all goes well, we will register you once you have completed the interview, and you will be able to take work.
How long will the application process take?
Within five days of receiving your application form, we aim to review it and let you know whether or not we want to interview you.
